ABOUT ME:

My name is Matthew, and I am a seasoned fundraising strategist with over 13 years of experience in the charitable sector. My background spans digital marketing, direct marketing, and product marketing, which has enabled me to craft innovative, data-driven strategies that drive fundraising success.

I am passionate about collaboration and using insights to inform the development of strategies that not only meet but exceed organizational objectives. Throughout my career, I have focused on building strong, sustainable donor relationships and delivering impactful campaigns.

At the Canadian Cancer Society (CCS), I served as Product Manager, overseeing the national launch of the Gift for the Cure program. This integrated initiative involved the migration to a new e-commerce platform, the design of a reimagined buyer journey, and the development of internal engagement and training programs. Additionally, I led the revitalization of CCS’s monthly donor program, which included creating new messaging and redesigning onboarding, arrears, and retention strategies.

Most recently, as a strategist at Blakely Fundraising, I had the opportunity to collaborate with leading experts in the field and work alongside some of the largest foundations in Ontario. My work ranged from national brand campaigns to the creation of comprehensive annual audience and communications plans, further honing my ability to deliver on client goals.
